Collections offers and donations

Photograph showing two female conservators standing at a workbench in a museum conservation studio. They are both in the process of carefully opening an archive folder containing a sketch book. To the left and right of them on the workbench are two open cardboard boxes also containing archive material. Behind them part of a photographic copy stand can be seen and a sink area covered in tools and brushes.

Get in touch if you’ve got something to offer us for the collections

We actively seek out and preserve contemporary and historical material that enhances our collections and brings in new perspectives. We are particularly interested in material that gives voice to lived experiences of health and reflects the richness and complexity of what it means to be human.

We collect across many formats, including archives, visual and material culture, moving image and sound, manuscripts, ephemera, and printed and published works, building our collections according to our Collections Development Policy (PDF 706kb).

If you’re thinking of offering material to us, you can check the library catalogue to see if we already have the item. We are unable to accept unsolicited donations, so please contact us before you send any material. If we’re not the best home for your items, we’ll do our best to suggest alternatives.
