Ehret pinxit Lettering continues below the image: "in examine diverforum fructum hujus plantae determinatum numerum locorum seminalium non reperi, cum alios in tria, alios in quator, alios in quinque divisa debrehendi. caracteres hujus plantae. a. flos superne visus in sua natura b. idem inversus á tergo conspectus c. germen, pistillum stigmate quadripartito, et stamina sine corollis per mycroscopium delineata d. fructus, transversim dissecti, diverso loculum seminalium numero. e. fructus prae maturitatae dehiscens f. membrana semen involvens in anteriori parte luxurians in gyrum reflexa g. semen"
