Description
Two wooden statues, one of Our Lady, the Virgin Mary, as represented as in the painting by Bartolome Esteban Murillo known as "The Immaculate Conception of Los Venerables", and one of Michael the Archangel invoked against sudden death and by people on their deathbed. The first statue was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R615/1938). The item second was accessioned in 1955 (accession number R36/1955). Neither is held by Wellcome Collection.
