    CONDITIONS OF SALE. I. The highest Bidder to be the Buyer; and if any dispute arise between two or more Bidders, the Lot so disputed to be immediately put up again and re-sold. II. No person to advance iess than 2s. 6d.; above Five Pounds, 5s., and so on in proportion. III. In the case of lots upon which there is a reserve, the auctioneer shall have the right to bid on behalf of the vendor. IV. The Purchasers to give in their Names and Places of Abode, and to pay down 5s. in the pound, if required, in Part Payment of the Purchase money ; in default of which the Lot or Lots so purchased shall be immediately put up again and re-sold. V. The Lots to be taken away at the Buyer’s Expense and Risk WITHIN TWO DAYS after the Sale, and the remainder of the Purchase- money to be absolutely paid, or otherwise settled for to the satisfaction of the Vendors on or before delivery; in default of which Messrs. Puttick & Simpson will not hold themselves responsible, if the Lots be lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed, but they will be left at the sole risk of the Purchaser. A charge of 1s. per week will be made on all Lots left uncleared. | lot can be returned on account of any error in the enumeration of contents. Messrs. Putrick & Simpson do not guarantee the authenticity of any work ascribed to any particular artist. VII. Upon failure of complying with the above Conditions, the money deposited in part payment shall be forfeited; and all Lots left uncleared, in conforinity with these Conditions, may be resold by public or private Sale without further notice; and the Deficiency (ifany) arising from such re-sale shall be made good by the defaulters at this Sale, together with all charges attending the same. This Condition is without prejudice to the right of the Auctioneers to enforce the contract made at this Sale, without such re-sale, if they think fit. _*,* No Lots can be delivered at the time of Sale.
