Par Monsieur Gile [Le] Vacher ... Le livre est terminé par un traité de la carie des os, donné par Monsieur Sarreau ... The last work is written by a different hand. A student's notes of lectures, written by a certain Coillot whose name is found under the title [cf. MS. No. 1705]. Gilles Levacher [1693-1760] was 'Chirurgien Major' at the Hôpital St. Jacques in Paris. Pieere Sarreau [or Sarrau] is described as 'Démonstrateur en Chirurgie et Membre de l'Académie des Sciences de Montpelier'. Produced in Paris.

Biographical note

S. F. Morand was elected to the Académie des Sciences in Paris in 1722, and lectured at the Hôpital de la Charité. He became a Member of the Ordre de Saint Michel in 1751.
