    40 4| 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 7 An ivory tablet case, mounted with miniature paintings en grisaille, children gathering flowers, and lovers, by FRANCOIS BOUCHER, signed F.B., inscribed ‘‘Souvenir d’Amitie”’ in go!d, and with gold borders, French, X VIII th century, 34in. high. An old English gold brooch, set with pearls and rose dia- monds, and a cameo carved with S. George and the Dragon. A SET OF FOUR LouIs XV. TORTOISESHELL SNUFF BOXES, of commode form, for a card table, inlaid with a hunting scene, boys sporting, Venus and Cupid, etc., the borders with the four aces, masks and foliage scrolls, in fine gold pigqué and mother-o -pearl, 3in. wide. Illustrated in Herbert Dent's “‘Piqué,’’ Plate VIII. A Louis XV. egg shape bonbonniére, of tortoiseshell and gold piqué, inlaid with classical ruins, insects and foliage scrolls, 24in. high. A Louis XVI. tortoiseshell oblong snuff box, inlaid with a pastoral trophy in different coloured golds and silver, 34in. wide. Another, oval, inlaid with a bouquet of flowers in different coloured golds and silver, 3%in. wide. A Swiss musical box, in tortoiseshell case, with a mechanical © figure of a bird, and with chased gilt mount, 4in. wide, in case. A TORTOISESHELL CIRCULAR SNUFF BOX, the cover mounted with a miniature portrait of a lady, wearing blue striped dress with lawn sleeves, and a black cloak, by QUAGLIA, after MIGNARD, signed, the gold border chased with foliage scrolls, French, early XIXth century, 34in. diam. A Louis XVI. Box, of grey composition and striped gold of different colours, the cover mounted with a miniature portrait of a lady, wearing blue dress and a pink ribbon in her hair, by J. AUGUSTIN, signed, and with chased gold borders, gold lined, 24in. diam. Another, of black composition, the cover with an enamel miniature portrait of a lady, wearing blue dress and a rose in her hair, by CourTOoIS, and with chased gold borders, 3in. diam.
