Description
The third in a six-part series following the work of 'bionic vet' Noel Fitzpatrick. At his multi-million pound centre in Surrey, Noel is devising and using new surgical techniques to save and imporve the lives of thousands of pets from all over the country. He invents various kinds of prostheses to help animals with physically disabling conditions. In this part, border collie Sasha, who has already had a total knee replacement, has blown a disc in her spine. Noel performs a second bionic operation. Four-year-old cat, Lottie, is brought in after having been hit by a car and Noel has to reconstruct and rebuild her pelvis. Meanwhile, Lottie's owners struggle to finance such a complex operation.
