Description

Lake Marmara (Turkish: Marmara Gölü), a lake in Manisa Province, western Turkey. A flock of birds in flight over the lake is seen in the print. Lake Marmara is a source for fishing and agricultural irrigation and a bird reservation. In early stages of Anatolian history, the lake was a resort center for the Lydians, at a short distance from their capital, and was called the Gygean Lake among other names
