An episode in John Gay, Fables by the late Mr. Gay, etc, Fable VI, London 1795, 'The miser and Plutus': "The wind was high, the window shakes, / With sudden start the miser wakes / ... Then opens the chest with treasure stor'd / And stands in rapture o'er his hoard."
