A history of the brain. Part 9, All or nothing.

The ninth in a ten-part series in which Dr Geoff Bunn journeys through 5000 years of our understanding of the brain. In this part, he focuses on Hans Berger's invention of the electroencephalograph which made our brain waves visible for the first time. Neuroscientist William Grey Walter went on to be come one of its greatest proponents. As part of the programme, actors read extracts from those who have written about the brain across the ages and an imaginary anatomy lesson takes place, this week focusing on the cerebral cortex.
