Description

Two pall-bearers are walking in the bottom right-hand corner. The script in the skeleton's hand says "ordonnance", signifying the collusion of the doctor with the call of death. The doctor has large, pink ears (although in another version of this print, record number 16058, the 'ears' are grey, indicating either that they may be part of the suit or that they are asses' ears), which have a devilish quality
