Description
1. Letters received by J.B. Russell. Correspondents include Russell's lifelong friend James Bryce, 1st Viscount Bryce, A H Bruce, 6th Baron Balfour of Burleigh, Secretary for Scotland, Sir William Gairdner, Robert Laws (on the supply of vaccine lymph to the Livingstonia mission to Central Africa, 1875), the physiologist John Scott Haldane (1860-1936) and William Thomson, afterwards Lord Kelvin, 1857-1904.
2. Letters to David Russell, son of J.B. Russell, mainly relating to his father, 1904-1915.
