"Massal" is recorded in the Bibliographie de la France only twice: once for this print, and once for an earlier (1815) print also after Reverdin after Poussin (Image of France database no. 5288). In the catalogue of the Bibliothèque nationale de France the engraver is given as A.B. Massol (17-- -1831), though in the lettering on this print the initial P. precedes his surname. P. Massol is also recorded as the engraver of other prints (e.g. one from 1816 lettered "Jeune espagnole. P. Massol, sculp. ; Lemire ainé, del. )
