Inside the arena several performances are in play: musicians, mock-fencers, a stilt walker, people in Turkish fancy dress, coaches drawn by pairs of horses. In the street outside are strollers, beggars, horse-riders, a man pushing a loaded barrow, etc. At the foot of the engraving are allegorical figures of Verona (left) and the river Adige (right). Between them are putti with emblems of the arts and sciences, and coats of arms. One of the putti holds up a book entitled Verona fidelis
