Description

The Bullet ant or paraponera clavata is a species of ant named on account of its powerful and potent venomous sting. It inhabits humid lowland rainforests from Nicaragua and the extreme east of Honduras and south to Paraguay. A proboscis is the elongated appendage from the head of an invertebrate usually it refers to the tubular mouthparts used for feeding and sucking. Width of image 7 millimetres
