In the first item on the programme, Quentin Cooper looks back over the life and work of the great Victorian polymath, Francis Galton. We hear in particular about his research into eugenics. The second item is about the Frozen Ark Project which aims to collect, preserve and store frozen DNA and tissue samples from animals in danger of extinction.
