Description

Collection of extracts, notes, letters, reports of post-mortem examinations, etc. mostly by the hand of Baldanzi: in Italian and Latin. Written on sheets of various sizes, in folio covers: and including four printed theses. A few of the post-mortem reports are illustrated by rough anatomical pen-drawings. Entries marked * are printed. The 'Societa Columbaria' of Nos. 22 and 23, was a learned Society of Florence founded in 1735 by Giovanni Girolamo Pazzi a physician, and Peruzzi (No. 23) was a prominent member in its early days. (Cf. Prezziner (G.) 'Storia del pubb. studio e delle Societa scientif. e letterarie di Firenze.' Vol. 2. 1810).
