About this work
Description
The first item on the programme looks at the work of crisis resolution teams, set up in 2001 as a government initiative to try to reduce the number of psychiatric patients being admitted to hospital. Kwame McKenzie visits the North Westminster Crisis Resolution Team to see how they work. In the second item, Dr. Daniel Freeman from Kings College London talks about his research into paranoia and suspicious thoughts. The final item is about placebos and how they manage to convince a patient they are feeling better when all they contain is a little sugar and water.
