Segment 1 The intertitles give the patient history. An x-ray of the patient's abdomen is shown. The patient's abdomen is seen. Anaesthetic begins to be administered. This is a lengthy process and the intertitles give detailed descriptions of the kind of anaesthetic used, and where injections are made.
