Description

The film, 1 of 6, shows Edith Sibley, a young woman of about twenty who demonstrates her uneven gait before her operation to correct a paralytic dislocation of the hip. The film was captured 18 December 1931. The room is possibly at Chailey Heritage Hospital in East Sussex. She is wearing a tight fitting body suit. Later in the film there is an operation in progress; a long needle pierces the leg bilaterally.
