    is to be totally incapable of any kind of bufinefs; applied, likewife, to Dr. Graham .who lately arrived in this city, who has entirely cured the in¬ flammation, removed the pain, enabled him to bear any degree of light, and hath recovered his fight in both eyes fo clear and ftrong as to be capable now of following his bufinefs with pleafure as formerly. THE fon of Mr. MORGAN WILLIAMS, CoOper, in Denmark*ftreet, for feven years part has been feverely afflicted with the following mod complicated diforders, viz. almoft blind, efpecially in his right eye, occafioned by films or white fpecks—a great clifcharge of very offenfive matter funning out of his ears—his head, face, lips, neck and ears, hard, ulcerated, and fwelled to a terribledcgr'e^—In this deplorable con¬ dition Mr. Williams applied to Dr. Graham, about two weeks ago; and, already, his fon’s fight is much better, his eyes are clearer and (Longer; the ulcers in his ears quite cured ; his head, face, nole, lips, neck, and ears are now foft and reduced to almoft their natural fize;—the offenfive ulcers, &c. perfectly cured; and his health and fpirits every day reviving -and allthele great and comfortable blelTings he enjoys without having undergone any painful operation or violent applications—for the cure though amazingly rapid, is carried on by Inward medicines and outward applications, benign and gentle in their nature, Ipeedy and powerful iri their effects. Extra# from Mr. Cooking’s BRISTOL JOURNAL, July, 21, *774• THE fon of Mr. John Sims, Currier in Mary-Bufh’s- lane, Queen-Itreet, has been afflidted with fore eyes more than two years—they were, at times, fo much inflamed, fo weak, red, and watery, and covered with white fpecks or films to fuch a degree, as to render him almoft quite blind ; they were, moreover, very painful, efpecially in the open air or in a bright light. He applied to Dr. Graham, Oculift and Aurift, in Queen’s Square, about a month ago, and now the inflammation, pain, weaknefs and humour is entirely removed, the coats of his eyes which were quite opaque and covered with white films recovered their healthful transparency, and his fight is now clear and ftrong. Mrs. Mary Jenkins, who keeps the fign of the Cranes, in the Grove, Briftol—being almoft blind with mod violent pain and inflammation in her eyes, by applying to the Dodlor hath been cured in left than ten days. The pain and rednefs is quite removed, fhe can bear the light ftrong and bright in both eyes. Mr. Michael Winter’s fon, at Eaft-Harptry, fix miles from Wells, aged fixteen years, who had the misfortune to be born deaf and dumb, has received very remarkable benefit in hearing. It is not a: month fioce be was put under Dr. Graham’s care ; yet however miraculous it may ap¬ pear, he can now actually hear and diftinguifh founds, of which, fince his birth, it was impoflible for him to *have the leaft conception. Indeed, the ideas which the newly acquired fenfe excites in his mind are fo delight¬ ful, he is now fo fpirited, and feems fo happy, and every thing in his cafe goes on fo well, that a fpeedy and perfe# recovery of hearingand fpeech can no longer be doubted.
