Description

Bible, N.T., Matthew 26.66-67; Mark 14.64-65; Luke 22.63-65. Christ's hands are tied and a blindfold is thrown over his head. A man exposes his bottom to Christ in mockery. Soldiers play dice. Described in the will of Claudine Bouzonnet-Stella as "La neviesme [planche], Jésus mocqué par les soldats dans leur cor de carde" (Blunt, op. cit. p. 746)
