Table for determining the times of the opening of the points according to the sixty-day jia zi (root and branch) cycle, from an edition of 1601 (29th year of the Wanli reign period of the Ming dynasty. Tables of this kind enabled the practitioner to establish in advance which points were open on any given day, avoiding the necessity for ad hoc calculations which might lead to clinical errors or even to needling taboo points.
