Reproduction from an unidentified publication, of an illustration depicting a Japanese parturition or birthing chair. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 14th October 1935 (PHO 5274). A close-up copy of M0007458 has been crossed through on the other side of the plate.
