Darwin 200 was a national public engagement and education initiative linked to the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origin of the Species in 2009. The initiative sought to engage the UK public with Darwin, his ideas and his influence on contemporary science and culture.

The Trust was part of a collaboration of organisations across the UK ('Darwin200') who jointly celebrated these anniversaries through a national programme of activities.
