Description

Two men and a boy against a plain background. The standing man holds a plate, the other is sitting. During his visit to Beijing, Thomson noted that artisans plied their trades on every vacant space in the streets of the city. Here, the mender is sitting with a yoke and panniers; a boy stands behind them, looking away
