Description

Photographs of two men from near Lake Chad, one Masa (also known as Banana) and one Sara, displaying their front teeth which have been cosmetically altered. The photographs were part of a set of six showing African and Malay cosmetic dentistry that was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1938 (accession number PHO 10867).
