The boat is the paddle-steamer Corsican, built in Glasgow by Barclay, Curle & Co. Ltd., Clydeholm Yard, Glasgow in 1870 and owned successively by the Canadian Navigation Co., Montreal (1870-1875), and the Richelieu & Ontario Navigation Co. (1875-1907?)
