Description

Letters between Wontner & Sons and J B S Haldane regarding Police Sergeant Cocks' instruction to issue a writ against Haldane and Others for libel in the Daily Worker article headed "By Frank Pitcairn", in the issue of 21 October 1940. Haldane's reply, typed on the reverse of Wontner & Sons' letter, asks for the writ to be sent to his solicitor.
