Description
Black and white reproduction of a photograph of Cinchona micrantha, grown by John Elliot Howard on a cinchona plantation in Tottenham, Essex. The photograph was possibly reproduced as part of the facsimiles exhibited in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930 hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The photograph is listed as exhibit no. 335 in the souvenir catalogue, and was lent by the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
