Description
Black and white reproduction of two illustrations by John Peckham (d.1292). Figure 6 shows (translated from German) "the image of the brain and eyes by Johann Peckham based on the inscription F. IV. 30.f.129b (University library in Basel)" and figure 7 shows (translated from German) "the anatomical image of the eyes and brain by Johann Peckham based on the Czechel manuscript from 1430 (Jagiellonian Library in Kraków, No. 1929)". The reproduction is from Bednarski-Lwow, Adam: Die anatomischen Augenbilder in den Handschriften des Roger Bacon, Johann Peckham und Witelo in Sudhoffs Archiv für Geschichte der Medizin, Bd. 24, H. 1, 10.
