Biographical note
Digital Scientific Instruments (later Digital Scientific Ltd) was a Cambridge computer software company that produced SmartCapture, a system of software tools for the capture, analysis and presentation of digital microscope images. Digital Scientific provided equipment and software for Ferguson-Smith's laboratory and as part of a collaborative agreement funded a post in foetal cell research (K M Andrews).
