Black and white photograph of Friedrich Franz Wilhelm Junghuhn (1809–1864), German-Dutch botanist and geologist, outside his dwelling in Java, Indonesia. The reproduction is possibly from the original photograph lent by Professor P. Van der Wielen, Laboratorium voor Artsenijbereidkunde van de Universiteit van Amsterdam, listed as exhibit no. 491 in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930, an exhibition hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930.
