Halftone reproduction of three photographs captioned "A mammoth monument of the pharaohs" at the header and "1. One of the massive Egyptian buildings at Philae [The of Trajan's Kiosk of Philae]. Many months of the year the ruins are almost covered by the Nile. 2. The Church of Our Saviour, Petrograd [Church of the Savior on Blood, St Petersburg], built in 1910. 3. The marble Baptistry at Pisa, Italy, begun in 1153".
