Photograph of a framed oil painting by Francis Hayman, 1740 and reworked c.1770, of Benjamin Hoadly (1706-1757), physician to King George II and possibly his first wife, Elizabeth Bath, or his second, Anna Armstrong. A caption has been attached to the frame, likely for display in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. The painting was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 19th August 1940 (P2505/1940). Related images: V0017911.
