Description

Two letters from Sydney Lupton, whose brother had been involved with a refuge for boys and a certified school for girls living in poverty in Leeds. On the death of his brother Lupton came into possession of one hundred and seventy photographs of boys and girls from these institutions, which he offered to Galton as "specimens of degraded types".
