About this work

Description

The legendary boxer Muhammad Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease more than 20 years ago. In the first item on the programme, Persaud is joined by Ali's daughter, Rasheda Ali, who has written a children's guide to the condition. We also hear from Parkinson's disease experts Mary Baker and Nicholas Wood. The second item is about inter-generational relationships. The third item is about Anorexia Nervosa. In the last decade brain imaging and neuro-psychological testing are providing evidence that there may be a brain malfunction associated with the condition.
