Description
Black and white photograph of a plant specimen annotated with "leaves of C. Ledger Anglica. Grown at Tottenham, 1881 by John Eliot Howard F.R.S." which was possibily exhibited in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930, hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The cinchona plant specimens were lent by Howard & Sons, Ltd., Ilford, London but the exhibit number has not been identified in the souvenir catalogue.
