Left-hand side on plate: Photograph of a framed painting, possibly of a sangoma in Sudan dancing to treat a man with pleurisy, with handwritten caption underneath the frame, "Zulu or Kaffir Witch-Doctor, Dancing, South Africa", likely in preparation to be displayed in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. Right-hand side on plate: Photograph of a half tone print, possibly after a drawing, of a man, possibly a sudanese sangoma, standing and smoking a cigarette.
