Description
Drawing of the profile of Pithecanthropus (Homoe erectus erectus) with the caption "Tpithecanthropus: the early Pleistocene ape-man of Java, remains of whose skull were found there in 1891 - his probable aspect". The illustration comes from an unknown publication and was used in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum's "Pre-history Gallery" in the 1930s.
