Description
The Sydney Brenner Collection consists of over 300 manuscript boxes of materials documenting the life of Dr. Sydney Brenner, from his early years as a student in South Africa, to his work as a scientist and administrator at the Medical Research Council (MRC), to his role in the biotechnology industry in the United Kingdom. The collection also includes material that belonged to Francis Crick and Leslie Barnett; the two shared offices with Brenner at the MRC beginning in the 1950s (Crick left in the mid-1970s and Barnett in the 1990s).

A digitised copy is held by the Wellcome Library as part of Codebreakers: Makers of Modern Genetics. SB/6/5/66-68 and 71 have not been digitised as these folders are either empty or contain blank pages.
