    LIST OF RECIPIENTS. 1897. Prize and Medal, Arthur Ransome, M.D. Gamb. 2nd Medal awarded to Peter Paterson, M.B. Glasg. 1900. No award. 1903. Hugh Walsham, M.D. Camb. 2nd Medal awarded to W. JOBSON Horne, M.D. Camb. 1906. No award. BISSET HAWKHNS MEMORIAL MEDAL. In 1896, Captain Edward Wilmot AVilliams, at the suggestion of Dr. Theodore Williams, presented to the College the sum of £1,000 sterling, with the object of perpetuating the memoiy of the late Dr. Francis Bisset Hawkins in connection with the College. To carry out this intention the College resolved to establish a Gold Medal to be bestowed triennially on some duly qualified medical practitioner, who is a British subject, and who has, during the preceding ten years, done such work in advancing Sanitary Science, or in promoting Public Health, as, in the opinion of the College, deserves special recognition.
