Biographical note
Project Summary:Superfoods explained' involves adults with learning difficulties working with scientists to explore why some foods are called superfoods and whether this is good science or clever marketing. Led by the Garden Science Trust and People First of Norfolk, adults with learning difficulties will consult with scientists from the Institute of Food Research to design practical activities to explain the biomedical science behind different superfoods and their roles in preventing disease. A professionally produced DVD of the findings will be made widely available for educational use, giving people with learning difficulties the tools to make informed choices for shopping and eating.
