Description
Portrait of John Caius (1510-1573), English physician and second founder of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, from 1801. Caius was born John Kays and also known as Johannes Caius and Ioannes Caius. The negative also contains a portrait of Desiderius Erasmus (1466-1536), Dutch philosopher, which is also captured in negative M0000754
