    I have not a Copy of the Address in which I commu¬ nicated, at your request, to the Governors of the Royal Humane Society, the heavy loss it had sustained by the death of Dr. Hawes, and would have been glad to have been excused from giving my recollections of it: But that I may not, by declining renewed applica¬ tions, appear disrespectful to a Family for which I have the highest esteem, nor to the Officers of the Society who have been pleased to express their wishes for it* preservation, I have written, and now send for your acceptance, the Substance of that which was delivered at the Anniversary.
