Description

Records relating to MCANW's activities concerning the Gulf crisis and war and Yugoslav wars, including anti-war appeals and campaigns, lobbying and campaigning activity, reports and papers on the impact of war, and press cuttings and articles. MCANW was part of the Crisis Intervention Network of the National Peace Council, a network of peace groups which met regularly to exchange information and plan action against the war in former Yugoslavia.

Gulf war records also include minutes, papers and correspondence of the International Study Team, surveying the impact of the crisis on the health and welfare of Iraqi citizens. Also includes correspondence concerning appeals during the Yugoslav wars, conflict resolution, and Balkans Task Force papers.
