Description
Black and white reproduction of a plant specimen described as "Cinchona hirsuta (Ruiz and Pavon). Type specimen". The specimen was possibly reproduced as part of the facsimiles lent by The British Museum (Natural History) and exhibited in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930 hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The specimen is listed as exhibit no. 923 in the souvenir catalogue, and is not held by Wellcome Collection.
