About this work
Description
The Correspondence subseries consists of letters sent and received while employed as a professor at Harvard University. This includes both departmental (Biology Department and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology), and administrative correspondence. The series includes numerous reports regarding facility construction, faculty appointments, and the reorganization of the Biology Department (1968-1969). The files also include administrative information such as course and exam schedules, seminar notices, and various memoranda. Notable correspondents include McGeorge Bundy, Paul Doty, John T. Edsall, Carroll Williams, Donald R. Griffin, Keith R. Porter, and John T. Dunlop. For Committee correspondence please see the Committee Files subseries (JDW/2/5/3).
