Biographical note
This was a committee of the Family Welfare Association, established in 1950. Its remit was to supervise and control the work of the Family Discussion Bureaux and to give advice and assistance to Area and District Committees on cases involving questions of marital discord. It ceased to operate when Family Discussion Bureau moved over to the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations. It was then replaced by an Advisory Panel (see SA/TCC/3/2).
