About this work

Description

Patients in a hospital setting (presumably Netherne); several male patients in bed; one looking very animated and then several others writhing around (all wearing institutional pajamas). A naked man fitting; a man in netted 'cage'; doctor tests reflexes on the feet on the patient. Semi-clad female patient in a deep sleep (copious saliva is evident); a man is blindfolded and intubated (liquid introduced from a funnel into the tube); there are three doctors in attendance. Another patient is intubated; two doctors are in attendance. Post treatment; a man sits in bed smiling, eating and drinking. Insulin treatment given to a male patient. Further footage of a male patient being treated (he pedals his legs pointlessly on his back); he takes a drink then a snack. He stands and buttons his pajamas. A male patient receiving an injection fitting. He is intubated; liquid is poured down the tube. Later, the man seems calm. Footage of doctors' trolley with equipment and medication.
